The award was presented as part of the study "Hidden Champions of the Karlsruhe Technology Region", conducted by Prof. Dr. Jan-Philipp Büchler (Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts) on behalf of TechnologieRegion Karlsruhe GmbH. The recognized companies came from the districts of Germersheim and Südliche Weinstraße, as well as the city of Landau, and are among the national and international market leaders in their respective industries.
